Our Power Within

At this time, I am putting together similar topics and writing a summary of what I read and learn about our inner power.

My references are The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy, Having It All by John Assaraf, What To Say When You Talk To Your Self by Shad Helmstetter, Exploring The Powers Of Your Inner Mind by Jaime Licauco, Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind by Harv Eker and 8 Secrets Of The Truly Rich by Bo Sanchez.

I gave the title, "Our Power Within" for this one and I grouped similar topics/subtopics accordingly and made an outline summary.

Here’s the outline (looks like a table of contents…hmmm, seems like I can turn these into an e-book and sell…haha)…

My Style of Earnings Management

While having a chat with a friend, he complimented me the way I manage my earnings. He said it is a brilliant idea that he wished he learned and done before... Here's what I said to my friend...

First, I created fund groupings...the NOW fund, the BUFFER fund and the INVESTMENT fund.

The NOW Fund

I set aside part of my earnings to cover up my expenses for the current period/month.
In which I further categorized into the ff.:

Half-Hearted Commitment Makes Us Fail

We fail because we do not want it bad enough!

Even if we know and we are clear with what we want, still we experience failure. Why? Because KNOWING what we want is only the first step.

Becoming successful is like a computer game—the success is in the leveling up.

LEVEL UP!

What we want is the so-called “desires.”

“Desire” has levels. The first is the Wish level. Second is the Want level. And, third is the COMMIT level.

The WISH level

No explanatory needed. We experience this every day. We are always wishing for something. Like, “I wish to be rich,” “Only if I could, I will be…”
And, we know nothing happens in the just wishing level.

The WANT level

Ever notice when we say “I want this or that,” we bring ourself to action. We are planning for some battle plan to have that want. We act and bring some results.

And, when we do not get the results after we act we stop. We simply just get frustrated and simply conclude that our desires are not achievable or not realistic to achieve. We feel we are going to get ourselves killed in our mission and simply escape the battle.

The COMMIT level or the COMMITTED level or the COMMITMENT level

This is the level where the coward becomes brave.

The mindset is make things happen. The thinking becomes like the thinking of God. Making things happen. Nothing is impossible.

The determined mind is set and the focus is on the finish line.

The desire becomes burning. Burning desires! “I want it bad enough!” and “I am committed to have it whatever it takes!”

In this level, we feel and believe what we dream on is real and will exist and will happen in some near future. We know it will happen.

Why stop now? We already invested our time, efforts, energy and resources. Stopping now and in the middle of the battle is dangerously costly. The most crucial loss we will ever face is the lost time. We can bring back energy and resources. But the time lost is lost forever.

LEVEL UP to the COMMITMENT level. COMMITMENT will bring us to our destination—to our target.

Be fully committed to your dreams. Make it happen. Make it real.

Investments and Investing: OWNERSHIP INVESTMENTS

My notes for Ownership Investments...

In addition to Real Estate investments, there's another one for Ownership Investments-the STOCK MARKET.

Stock Market is the place where shares of a company are exchanges for the money of investors.

The companies raise money from the public to expand operations thru stock market. Take note that these companies do not guarantee that they will raise money for their investors.

Tips:
The goal of the investors is to profit or raise money on the shares they buy. Since there is no guarantee on the earnings, investors must ensure that they carefully select the companies they buy the shares of.

Buying and selling of stocks are thru stockbroker. One can choose a broker from Philippine Stock Exchange or thru its website: www.pse.com.ph

Investments and Investing: PASSIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIPS

My notes for "Passive Entrepreneurships" or simply put "Ownership Investments"

Real Estate is one form of "Ownership Investments."

Being into a real estate business can be a good one, however, the investor must be able to consider the ff:
  • conceptualization of feasible projects
  • selection of strategic and right location
  • acquisition of the property at a good price
  • security of proper financing
  • completion of the project in the set timetable and budget
  • sell the project within the set time frame and price
  • administration of the selling and/or leasing of the property

With a hat that size, you'll have no trouble

When I Arrived At My Destination, I Say I Am Successful

We fail not because we are no good or no money or no etc.

We fail because we are not that clear enough with what we want. Yes, we want abundance, harmonious relationships, happiness, etc… We want all those faces of success be it financial, love life, career or whatever it is you and I want.

CLARITY…

Stop feeling bad when you feel you are a failure. Why? Because, you are the only person who can say you are successful or a failure.

Wait a minute! What is success again? Also, what is failure?

Investments and Investing: GOVERMENT SECURITIES

My notes for Government Securities...

Government Securities or GS come in the form of treasury bills or treasury bonds.

The safest government securities are those issued by more developed countries.

For Filipinos, Philippine Government Securities are the most "risk-free" Philippine peso investments.

Tips:
The ideal investments for Pinoys who do not have to use their savings for 3 to 5 years are Government Securities. Only the government can print the money to pay off government securities.

Investments and Investing: BONDS

Here are my notes for BONDS...

Bonds are issued by the government and large corporations. Its purpose is to raise fund for specific projects.

Bonds offer a fixed of amount of interest (which is called the coupon rate) for a fixed period of time (this is the maturity date or due date) usually for a long period of time.

Note that at maturity date, the exact amount of the bond will be repaid to you and the interest payment stops.

More, interest rates on bonds are normally higher than the rates paid the banks.

Tips:
If you are nearing the or are in retirement years and your goal is "never or do not lose money," then a bond from a stable government is the best investment.

Income Source: Work From Home

Thanks be to God! Nowadays, there are alternatives to earn money. Hence, it is okay if we lost jobs this recession or we can not find jobs or just simply we want to work from home.

Alternatives are blogging, internet marketing, sell products online and the oDesk.

Advantages of "work from home" are...

  • chance to work comfortably at home with our kids just around us,
  • having more than enough resources to feed our family
  • chance to have a little luxury in life

I believe that GOD heard our prayers of having an income source without me going out of the country and leaving our family behind to look for greener pasture.

Excerpt from Hanayuki's testimony for oDesk,

"oDesk dramatically changed my life. Now my sister and some of my friends whom I shared my success has their own piece of story to tell about oDesk too, for they are as well working in oDesk." ...click here to read more

Hula Hoop To Flatten Abs

Sa tingin nyo po, noh po ang pinaka-mabisang pampaliit ng bewang o pam-flat ng abs? In your opinion what is the most effective exercise to flatten abs?

...para po sa akin, ung mag-hoola hoop everyday for at least 15 minutes...for me, the most effective is to do hula-hoop for at least 15 minutes a day.

nabasa ko po sa book, kaya daw ang tyan, bewang, abdomen, belly, abs, tummy ang pinaka-tabaing bahagi ng katawan ng tao o where fats are deposited the most is because...fats or adipose tissues, being inert tissue, naturally gravitates to the point of least activity. And, our abdomen is the least we move unlike our legs, arms and back. We naturally move our legs, arms and back daily so fats are not deposited in these areas of the body.

Fats in the abdomen are caused by local inactivity. As such, the logical and effective remedy is muscular movements/activities. That's why sometimes dieting or starving to death alone do not help or work. Mere walking, jogging or running alone will not solve the abdominal obesity, motions of the legs do not bring movements or actions to the tummy where the fats are deposited or stored. Hence, there is a need to do a direct activity for the abdomen so that the fatty tissues may be dislodged...

...best po na igalaw ang tyan...hoola hoop moves our abdomen and our entire mid-section...nde pa magastos:)

...and hoola hoop is what I do every now and then...I hoola hoop for 20 minutes 4 to 6 times a week...it worked for me...my abs is becoming flat and my waist is becoming small...I am becoming shapely now :):):)...this is me after my hula hoop work-out...sarap mag-hula hoop...ahahaha....

Vision Boards: The blue print of my dream realities (Part 3)

Continuation from Vision Boards: The blue print of my dream realities (Part 2)

Another is I make a movie out of it thru a Movie Maker software. And this is my favorite now...

I am watching my vision boards everywhere I go.

Oh Yes! Thanks to the music/video Ipods and the like and camera/video phones. I will download my vision board story and watch for it when I'm travelling, eating out, waiting in the lines, taking a break, doing nothing, or whenever I'm in the down or when I'm facing a challenge or obstacle so I can be fired up again.

I also burned a copy of it so I can watch it while I eat breakfast and before I sleep.
Power up your vision boards and make them lively! Convert your vision boards into movies. What's good is you can add up your own voice and add your favorite motivating songs. I encourage you to make your own vision boards movie, so, you can watch your dream-reality, too, as well as listen to your own enthusiastic voice while enjoying a motivating and empowering song in the background.

I will greatly appreciate if you share this blog to your family, friends and acquaintances as I love sharing my learnings (mainly because for me to learn). I believe that to teach is to learn.
And also, I welcome those who have created vision boards to please write and share your experiences so as a way of empowering, inspiring and motivating everybody. Your dream-come-true testimonials are in itself a priceless gift you can give to everyone.

Thank you and God bless!
